A live stream works a bit different than a general admission or seated event. That's because you don't need a scannable QR-code but a way to view the live stream via your ticket.
In this article, we explain how to set up your live stream event.
Create your live stream event
There are two ways to create a live stream event:
- First, copy your old live stream event, including the settings and the embed code. So, make sure you don't forget to change it!
- You create a new event. In the upper right corner of your dashboard, you click 'Create event' and choose live stream:
Manage your live stream event
You can manage your event whenever you want. But make sure you do this before the live stream event opens!
When you open your event, you will find the tab live stream under the heading 'management'. You can configure your event here. There are two options to choose from:
- Internal live stream:
You will use an embed code, and the attendee will watch the stream in the ticket.
- External live stream:
When the attendee chooses 'watch stream' in their ticket, your fan will receive an external link. The attendee can forward this link.
Vimeo settings
We recommend working with Vimeo because you have the option to manage privacy settings. This way, you have greater control of who views your stream. In the document attached, you will find more information about the Vimeo settings. If you use an external party that provides the stream, you can forward this document to them.
Pre-recorded streams
Via a broadcast encoder, you can stream your pre-recorded video as if it is live. In the attachment, you will find a document with more information.
